From Boppin' Hillbilly to Red Hot Rockabilly es un cuádruple disco que recoge una parte de la historia de la música de los años cincuenta del siglo XX. Como el título anuncia sirve de perfecto testimonio de cómo el Country servía de punto de encuentro de diversos estilos, incorporando Blues y Jazz mientras el estilo maduraba y evolucionaba hasta la aparición del Rockabilly.

Desde Johnny Horton o Carl Smith, pasando por Eddy Arnold, Faron Young o Marty Robbins, hasta Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins o el mismo Elvis Presley (por citar algunos de los nombres más populares) están entre los que definieron e hicieron sus incursiones en un estilo cuyo fulgor comercial en los años cincuenta fue breve pero intensísimo. Tan intenso como su posterior influencia en la definición de no pocos estilos musicales que han bebido de su esencia.
